Lush Fresh Cosmetics Review

LOVE LOVE LOVE! I first went to a LUSH when I was in Australia, and immediately fell in love. Now every time I go into a LUSH store, I'm taken back to my adventures in Australia! Seriously though, walking into a LUSH store is heaven, all the smells together have turned into my favorite smell in the world! Just walking by this store makes me happy.I use their bar soap in the shower and I honestly don't think I could ever switch. Some of my favorite soaps are Karma, Figs and Leaves, and Ooh La La (which was sadly discontinued... bring it back, LUSH!)

I went to LUSH yesterday to buy a new facial cleanser. My super-crazy-sensitive skin needed a treat. For those unfamiliar with LUSH, it's all-natural handmade stuff that doesn't test on animals, and many of their products are completely vegan.Over $100 later, I left with a bag of goodies, and was a little skeered of what the hubby would say (he's kind of a meat-head when it comes to girly stuff, and I knew I'd get a lecture on the cost of the products).Anyway, this is what I got:The Aqua Marina cleanser . . . it's got seaweed, chamomile and aloe vera in it. After using it just one time, my skin was transformed! So soft! No more redness! It's a miracle in a plastic container. The Eu Roma Aqua water: you just spray this stuff on your face, and it calms and cools, and smells like roses. I love it. You can also spray it on a cotton pad, and use it to remove makeup residue, if there's anything left behind after washing.Paradise Regained moisturizer: This is the only moisturizer I've EVER tried that is both light and effective. It's also the first one I've tried that doesn't make me break out.Dream Cream Body Cream: A perfect name for a product that goes on like a dream, and makes your skin softer than you ever thought possible. You only need a tiny bit - it goes a long, long way.I also should mention that the lovely lady helping me (Liz) was very nice and extremely helpful. She had me try things to determine which products were right for my skin. She also gave me a couple of samples: a little bar of hand soap (which I love), and some neck cream. I can't wait to go back and buy more stuff!

When I walk into a store like Lush (or Sephora or Zabar's or Dean&Deluca) I have to picture a dollar amount limit in my head as I open the door. Or all hell breaks loose and I FILL that basket!I Love the Olive Oil Soap, All The Bath Bombs, and the fact that they have non-talc powder! Which works SO well in this sticky humid mess of a New England Summer that I threw out my J&J Baby crushed rocks powder and will never use it again.Pricey-ish products, but the fact that you're not paying for filler makes them worth it.
